I want to start my September blogging report by saying that I am now officially an earning blogger!
Sounds awesome, right?
Well, I have to admit something. What I’ve earned was actually $1.30 from affiliate sales. And while this won’t pay my bills, I consider it a huge milestone. So cheers to the small wins in life!

September blogging report
To be honest, September was a slow month for me. I had to take a complete blogging vacation because both kids and I got the flu and I couldn’t even open my laptop for more than a week.
Of course, this took its toll on my traffic, but I’m happy to say I’m still on track in the long run.
Product focus
My focus for this month was creating products that I will be selling on Etsy.
To be honest, I’ve had some bad experiences with Etsy. A few years ago, I tried to open a store on the platform and it was closed without any explanation. I tried one more time, very carefully to ensure I’m not violating any of their policies.
And got blocked again.
Again, I didn’t receive any explanation or answer to my emails. So naturally, I gave Etsy up.
A few weeks ago, however, I decided to give it one last chance. I emailed them, got a response this time, and it turned out my previous accounts were wrongly caught by their scamming algorithm. So now it’s all fixed and waiting for me to upload my new products.
By the way, to celebrate the launch I have prepared a special surprise for all my subscribers, so be sure to sign up if you haven’t already.
Posts
The bad news is, that I skipped a post this month. Still, with everything going on I’m glad I was able to publish the rest of the posts. Here’s what’s new on the blog:
Guest posts
I also had two guest posts published at the beginning of the month. Hopefully, soon I’ll be able to add a few more to the list.
Stats
Now to my favorite part. Here is how I actually did this month.
- Sessions: -3%
- Site visitors: +16%
- Organic traffic: +43%
- Facebook page: likes +86% and follower +44%
- Pinterest page: impressions +45%, followers +28% and traffic +130%
Goals
September
- Grow my email list. – Done, altough not at the rate I wanted.
- Break down quarterly goals into small actionable tasks. – Done, it will be a busy quarter.
- Keep pitching for backlinks. – Fail. As I mentioned, I barely had any time to keep up with my own posts, so I had to skip pitching.
October
Time to start working towards my Q4 goals, here are the first granular tasks:
- Launch and Etsy store and post at least 3 products.
- Add 2 more freebies to the Resource Library.
- SEO old posts.
